About Gas purification panel
The need for a Purification panel in Gas Chromatography has now been recognised beyond any doubt, both for the column & the detector. As several problems in Gas Chromatographic analysis are caused by impure gases, the gases used in the GC have to be pure and free of Oxygen, hydrocarbons, and moisture, as they are harmful to the GC. The hydrocarbons present may give baseline noise and irreproducible results. Moisture and oxygen can strip the phase, causing excessive bleed, thus damaging the GC column or shortening its span.
The Migfitt Gas Purification and Controller system is designed to remove oxygen, moisture, hydrocarbons, oil ad other foreign materials from gas streams. The system eliminated noise and unaccepted signals of gases in order to obtain peak resolution and peak tailing in the analysis. The carrier gas passes through oxygen and moisture removal filters, and passes through moisture and hydrocarbons removal filters, and hydrogen passes through the moisture removal filter. All gas streams are controlled by a constant pressure regulator, the inlet and outlet pressures being displayed on a gauge. The system is wall-mounted.

Ultra-High Purity Gas for Critical ApplicationsThis purification panel delivers consistently clean hydrogen, nitrogen, or air with a purity exceeding 99.999%. Its activated charcoal trap eliminates hydrocarbons and impurities, safeguarding analytical equipment and sensitive industrial processes. The continuous flow design and swift purification process make it essential for labs and industrial setups alike.
Sturdy Construction for Versatile DeploymentBuilt with a choice of stainless steel or powder-coated mild steel, the panel withstands harsh environments. It can be mounted on walls or skids to optimize space in laboratories or production plants. Ergonomic design and quality components ensure reliable, long-term operation.
Streamlined Operation, Manual ControlWhile computerized or automated elements are not included, users benefit from straightforward manual controls and a pressure gauge for real-time status monitoring. This simplicity ensures easy integration and minimal maintenance, making it suitable for both new and existing infrastructures.
FAQ's of Gas purification panel:
Q: How is the gas purified in this panel?
A: The panel uses an activated charcoal hydrocarbon trap to adsorb impurities from gases like hydrogen, nitrogen, and air. This process removes contaminants, resulting in ultra-high purity output suitable for sensitive applications.
Q: What are the typical uses of this gas purification panel?
A: This panel is primarily used in laboratory and industrial environments where ultra-high purity gases are essential, such as analytical labs, research facilities, or manufacturing plants with stringent quality requirements.
Q: When should I replace the activated charcoal trap media?
A: Replacement frequency depends on gas usage and input contamination levels, but it's advisable to inspect the trap as part of regular maintenance or if output purity drops below 99.999%. Consult your supplier for recommendations based on typical applications.
Q: Where can this panel be installed?
A: The panel supports wall or skid mounting, making it suitable for a variety of spaces, from laboratory benches to industrial production areas. Its compact, robust design allows flexible deployment based on facility requirements.
Q: What is the process for maintaining the gas purification panel?
A: Regular inspection of the pressure gauge, inlet/outlet connections, and activated charcoal trap is recommended. Manual operation and lack of computerized controls keep maintenance straightforward and minimal.
Q: What benefits does the ultra-high purity output provide?
A: Delivering gas with >99.999% purity and a dew point of -70C helps protect sensitive instruments, prevents sample contamination, and enhances the reliability of analytical and industrial processes.
Q: How can I monitor the operating status of the panel?
A: A built-in pressure gauge provides continuous visual indication of gas pressure status, allowing operators to monitor performance and ensure safe, uninterrupted operation.
